I am a lecturer in the Department of English at the Paedagogische Hochschule Heidelberg in Germany and a Senior Research Fellow at the Early Childhood Research Centre at Roehampton University in London. My research focuses on childhood, early education, parent/school relations, related social policies in the 19th-21st centuries, especially in the UK, USA, and Germany. I am co-editor with Jack Dougherty of Writing History in the Digital Age. Under contract with the University of Michigan Press.
